crawford C.R.A.D.L.E. program is an organization created to reach out to the kids in schools and communities who need Love and are not receiving it... through the pure schools network... i was able to meet and be a part in the outreach efforts to the young people in the area... for some school assemblies they arranged for the Robinson IL area... i got a chance to meet some of the gals in active effort to reach out to the very kids in need... it was a privilege to hear there hearts and to know there are programs like that with people who care and are determined to reach out... along with special Guest Vic Murphy... who is an Old school BMX icon to many and has helped revolutionize the sport with his simple faith and passion for riding... coming all the way from San Diego, California... humble tired and ready to share his Heart and speak to the kids on many topics related to right choices humorously and to the point... although His Heart is to share the gospel of the life giving Christ... he goes where he is called despite transportation circumstances with late night arrival and early last minute preparation...knowing we cannot share the Gospel legally in most schools... we must be it... a friend once told me... always share the Gospel if necessary use words!... it was quite an honor to meet and to share the floor with this guy and with no doubt positive he left those kids feeling encouraged and inspired to make right choices... it was an honor to play a part in this event with my crew of riders Mitchell, Worm aka David and Dylan... and definitely an unexpected treat to get to know and meet a rider who is actually one of the very first christian BMX riders i knew existed within the sport...

its so crazy when one realizes he is called to something greater than himself... to be involved with organizations or movements for positive change... especially for someone like me who comes from a background of being involved with the source of negative change... which brings me to this... i am called to the cause that lifted me from darkness into the light of the cross... although i am involved with such positive things it is only because of Jesus who changed me... John 8:12 i am the light of the world... if you follow me , you wont be stumbling through darkness, because you will have the light that leads to light... Jesus very words spoke... i receive this truth to pass on to you... the reader! those involved with any peer pressure or influence contrary to this truth... the word of God is alive and active as the source of light in your dark world... i am learning to listen and serve more... also very contrary to the selfish taking way i learned to live my life previous to receiving the words that lead me to righteousness... not just thinking but acting... this is no easy task, and i may be guilty of misrepresenting or expressing the light correctly as being the worse example whatsoever... but this truth is for us all... and we can receive and walk with it at any given moment... we are all called to this great light... it outshines hypocrisy... it exposes lies... it is TRUTH... active and available especially for those in darkness... i was the silent kid who was enslaved to insecurity... i was the little guy who was hopeless... i was far from the truth that had something to say about who i really was... as is anyone until they press in to the light that is calling loudly beyond audibly... when entering the light let it envelope your entire being... it will heal, replenish, correct, and strengthen who you are and what you are called to be... more than your self... more than false identity... i write because it is in me... and sets me free

MY friend Jud Heald whom i met a few years back doing demos with livin it... also working together on The Autumn Ramp Park rebuild/redesign for the 2007 Jomo PRO comp Held in Joplin MO... Jud defines hard work... determination... dedication... Professional... etc... basically he is a power house with a skateboard and power tools... ha ha ha! He heads up the Untitled Skateboard team traveling and sharing to the masses about his Faith and decsipleship of Jesus Christ... i look up to this guy for what he does... get to know about him! i did... He will change your perspective on work ethic... Glad to know you Bro! sorry about your trampoline! anyways... about a month back i received a call from him to help build a park out in Bloomfield NJ... soo me and my buddy Seth packed up for the job and worked and lived in East Orange NJ for a week riding, building and surviving the rough environment with the ARC crew (American Ramp Company) and the entire experience was awesome! Thanx Guys!

im staying at a ramada with its big red letters only lit up with MADA... just finished a full day of ramp building we are actually building from scratch... turns out the park we are building is a tribute to a local pro bmxer named Joe Tiseo... a small hispanic dude i used to watch shred in videos.. and to me and Seths surprise we ran into two well known street riders today (Bob Scerbo and Ralph sinisi) coming out to check on the park they helped raised money for... they were super tight with joe... and this makes this trip soo much more meaningfull!

one morning the glass chandelier actually detached from the ceiling almost killing Jud and the crew while enjoying a relaxing morning continental breakfast of repeated items such as circle cakes aka jelly danish and other boreing hard and dry tasteless treats. i had to get creative and started throwing them in the toaster... eventially stopped eating breakfast... ha ha ha...

workin hard and playing Hard... building durring the day and riding the city at nite! amazing times were had! met some kids rode some famous spots... got a chance to view all the city monuments and famous architecture from an awesome pier spot Jersey City... scoped the NYC skyline every morning at dusk... there is something very beautiful about cluttered chaos! enjoyed the nite time meals at the infamous diners and pizza joints... watched natural births on tv and just lived life...

finished the job with 6 guys and 47 legal working hours... with pro riders and skaters John Andrus member of Chaos on Wheels/Stunt Dudes, Jud Heald, Seth Kimbrough... the Brough, Mark Janetta of Splinter Skateboard ministry... ARC crew Michael, Bill, and Donny... thanks GUYS! Hope to do it again! oh and did i mention my car blew up! ha ha ha

this has been a crazy month! workin Hard, riding, traveling, struggling, but enjoying it all through the sufferings of this life... relationships... school assemblies... building a skatepark... Car Blowing up... Break ups... etc... mix ups... injuries... but through it all God is God ... he gives and takes away! ive learned a lot this month about LOVE... im talking jesus love... not that stuff as seen on tv or myspace... but surrender... sacrifice... patience... Obedience... THe Lord really does bless those walking with Him but He also punishes those He Loves... all for His purpose and Glory... through it all i seek His Presence Oneness and Out flows His Righteousness... God is bigger than the words i speak... Just seek and experience Him for Yourself...

sept 20 was the Springfield TN town celebration/outreach put together by On The Go ministries... not a big fan of stress and early mornings... has any one ever tried to manage a group of young bmx riders? a BMX rider is not a huge fan of the early morning or time management... we are more "artistic" then that... ha ha... normaly it takes 3/4 of a day to loosen up, wake up, and be mentally and physically in tuned to being motivated to ride... most of it is due to resting and recovering from the night of previous riding... did i mention we dont like early mornings.... 6:30 am gas lines and fuel shortages we are on our way to set up... oh and most of the time we have some sort of lingering injury and those are more sensitive in the early morning... faith is our motivation... and most of the time i am dependent on that... soo much prayer involved in what i do! coordinating the riders is always a challenge and some how physically logistically and spiritually it works out... long time riding friend from up north Frank Stewart is on his way from Memphis TN along with D town resident Alex Magallan the Nashville Rueben... and white house locals Brandon and tyler... this is Franks first Outcast show! we met in MN years ago at a local park... he has been riding longer than i have been alive and it shows... its kinda funny how we lived a few hours apart, him in Iowa and me in WI and some how we both migrated south to Tennessee still only living a few hours apart... figure that one out? pretty cool i think.. oh and did i mention we have a toter home shower full of potato chips.. a full tank of diesel.. not physical pain, lack of sleep, or anything stopped us from doing this show... and we did it for Jesus name and Glory only... it wasnt for our benefit... but even after the stress and everything trying to pull us down we still get to share in his Joy and glory... even when im feeling on empty spiritually suffering physically and emotionally... God reminds me that it's not for me... but for Him

Aug 30th was the Revelation Generation or vice versa... held outside Frenchtown New Jersey... with about an 18 000 audience expectancy proved itself to be one of the biggest events we were a part of this year... with 2 main stages and an "X treme" area... ha ha where we shared the blotch of pavement with Skateboard team BFC... are bros from the west side... surrounded by orange fence mazes with gulf cart transportation and port o potty stations lined up for nations... Did i mention nation? it felt like a small one... and not the easiest place to drive up and back a semi truck through... gotta love the amazing hospitality and creme puff delights... although we were one of the acts i felt a bit lost in the sea of sceno glee.... just a BMX crew doin our thing... blending with our Hardcore to No Core generation with a REVELATION that JESUS is our MOTIVATION and it is no EXAGERATION he is present and active in our lives... on the rebound end of the stage of As i lay dying, Fly Leaf, Devil Wears Prada, etc... it was an Honor and Privilage to be involved. Did i mention CHIPS! /BACK to BACK/on the flip side after Driving through Jersey Pike Toll booths and the murky erie night to arrive in Lewistown PA... Did i mention im Driving through the night with STREET legend Seth Kimbrough and local BAMA boy Dylan Sparkman alongside NashVEGAS bro Alex Magallan in the back passed out with CHIPS all over his V tee... Ha ha... some will never know... what goes on in the rig stays in the rig... ha ha jk... 4 am check in to ratty inn motel for a couple hour nap and a shower is nothing for the reward of experiencing what we did later that day in the Local community outreach in the rec park parking lot... this was the Upper Room Worship Centers thang... just regular people God has Transformed and given vision and support to serve along with various members of the community Bliss Bike shop owner etc... as i am trying to think of what makes up those 8 things that make that hotel we stayed at soo SUPER... while setting up, warming up, grillin out... trickin out and speakin out from the places inside to the places outside with no disguise... straight up old school no main stage... just some Broken dudes with bikes and attitude.... this is what we do... to see those families gather with their gazing kids faces... and to our surprise like 20 kids on twenties just hangin out asking to ride... this is our prize! the Joy that comes from real interaction and not just stage attraction... it didnt end after our show...we cruised the streets with these kids... they showed us around town and it was all worth what we put in... and Seth and the gang in those moments reminded me this what we are about and why we began... this is who we are and what we do! i pray God your hand in that town and for your Glory to grow... these feelings i have cannot be described unless you just ride... there is soo much labor, struggles and sufferings of pride... but when you let go you understand your soul and nothing in the world can hide these feelings i have inside...

yeah this is deep... it aint weird... just expressing the Holy Spirit i have inside that collided after Christ Died... this is why we ride.

down to the wire

it's 4pm friday night of the 15th... me n worm aka David... truck fresh out the shop and we need to be in Fredericksburg, VA by 10 a.m. the next morning... 2wo new riders fresh off the phone wire... Tyler Fredericks and Devin Gibbs up to the task of joining the crew for their first and new journey through the night on a 12 hour cruise with last minute clues... windy drives through the night woods, heads bobbing eyes closing and minds fading to arrive for a 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. snooze... right on time for a not soo easy task but an everlasting cause... this is what i do... it's my will... serving in ministry and leading a few... !10 a.m. set up for a 12 p.m. event for the Strong Tower Church... Daniel and His team ready and willing with hands wide open hearts streaming and wills dreaming for a growing diverse multi ethnic growing community thriving on one diety... jesus our God... clearly... what an amazing honor and privilage to be a part and enjoy... all efforts well worth our time... joy and thanks Strong Tower!

one message,one show,for one lost

outcast came into affect 16 months ago and still counting... here is a recap of our recent show at the Frontier Camp in Grapeland, TX... Monday morning started out with a drive to the part store for Generator parts in hopes of a nice and cool 15 hour drive to TX from our home base in Nashvegas... with a couple hours of troubleshooting and minor maintenance updates... we were unable to get the cool air flowing... 15 sweaty hours later and multiple road interchanges through the uncharted boonies of TX... we arrive at the dark campgrounds... too our surprise and compensation for the long haul... we were blessed with a 4 bedroom cabin fully decked out for an amazing nights rest and made for a very relaxing hang out... it is now tuesday... our show day! cafeterias, waterfront activities, zip lines, tether ball and a mini skate park were a few of the happenings at this place... Good times! Cool kids! it was a very high energy event and the kids were screaming there faces off! thanx yall for that! and the food was just ok... ha ha! we just did our thing... if you were'nt there u should have been... the trip back started right after our load out and a quick shower... drove all night back to Nashville which made for a very comfortable and relaxing time back... no sun means no heat... the end of that part

this was my friends Rick and Justin's first trip with the team... they drove all the way down from the Twin Cities the day before leaving For TX.... so kudos to them and there hard work to help make this show possible... myself (Lucas) and two of the core riders Alex Magallan and Dylan Sparkman enjoying another opportunity to do our thing! thanx to our One God

The discovery of your FAITH is essential... you will realize it is not your own to stay in an isolated place... God has designed a specific role with special functions (gifts) and a mission for all of us... reconciliation is happening... a drawing of all of his creation to be put back into oneness with him... this is not just you we are talking about! this is much bigger than ourselves! we must step out of our selfish drives and motives! we are partakers of his divine new nature! what i am trying to say is that he has created us all with a purpose... this is not a program or system for us to do what we want when we want... but a plan devised for his WILL... to know him in a personal way... but to exceed beyond... He gives us His HEART... and there is much more... our pursuit becomes His... we are not here to build our own spiritual realities... we are to have a full realization of Jesus Christ... the one and only God... and for His one and only BODY (the church) you see? we all become one... and it is for his Glory we serve one another with our special functions... Are you Seeking Him?

isolation

i dont have the words? i must go to Him.. who? God? YES... the first step in knowing is starting with seeking... and the discovery through the Word of God in isolation (meditation away from everything that is distracting... a quiet place) it all starts with this personal pursuit of devotion... Do you know Jesus? Have i done this thing or that? it doesn't matter! once you ask (prayer)for God to make Himself real in your life... you shall give your life entirely to Him... and realize every situation and every circumstance points to Him... God is all around... in the menial mundane or the crowded chaos... are you in tune? are you one with the creator? His Holy Spirit desires you to become a Saint! to have Power over DEATH! you can Have this! you can do many things on your own... but it doesn't add up to the REALIZATION of just KNOWING your creator...

Philippians 3:8 and on

everything else is worthless when compared to the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that i may have Christ and become One with him...
